As a central administrative office for CalStrat, the Office of the Registrar is responsible for offering a wide variety of services. The most important services related to the student body are to:

a. Maintain the academic records of all students, active as well as inactive, and provide reports of such records

b. Conduct the entire registration process

c. Provide certification of enrolment

d. Issue certificates

e. Process various statistical reports each semester; distribute grade reports; and Maintain the academic calendar for registration/schedule changes.

f. Additionally, the registrar maintains individual records and oversees all course offerings in which students are enrolled.

Email Policy

1. The CalStrat email system shall not to be used for the creation or distribution of any disruptive or offensive messages, including offensive comments about race, gender, hair color, disabilities, age, sexual orientation, pornography, religious beliefs and practice, political beliefs, or national origin. Employees who receive any emails with this content from any CalStrat employee should report the matter to their supervisor immediately.

2. CalStrat’s main purpose in providing IT facilities for email is to support the teaching, learning, research and approved business activities. IT facilities provided for email should not be abused. An absolute definition of abuse is difficult to achieve but certainly includes (but is not necessarily limited to):

a. Creation or transmission of material which brings CalStrat into disrepute.

b. Creation or transmission of material that is illegal.

c. The transmission of unsolicited commercial or advertising material, chain letters, press releases or other junk-mail of any kind.

d. The unauthorised transmission to a third party of confidential material concerning the activities of CalStrat.

e. The transmission of material such that this infringes the copyright of another person, including intellectual property rights.

f. Activities that unreasonably waste staff effort or networked resources, or activities that unreasonably serve to deny service to other users.

g. Activities that corrupt or destroy other users' data or disrupt the work of other users.

h. Unreasonable or excessive personal use.

i. Creation or transmission of any offensive, obscene or indecent images, data or other material.

j. Creation or transmission of material that is abusive or threatening to others, serves to harass or bully others, discriminates or encourages discrimination on racial or ethnic grounds, or on grounds of gender, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, political or religious beliefs.

k. The unauthorised provision of access to CalStrat services and facilities by third parties.
